Michael Phelps wins 8; NBC wins, tooOn Sunday, the day Michael Phelps won his record-breaking eighth gold medal at the Beijing Olympics, NBC said its networks -- in eight days of broadcasting Phelps' races in primetime in the U.S. -- have reached 185 million viewers.
"He provided the kind of theater that none of us will soon, if ever, will forget," NBC Sports anchor Bob Costas said about the swimmer's historic streak, which broke fellow American Mark Spitz's seven-medal record at the 1972 Munich Games.

FINALLY, Ive been asking all week it seems. Who the hell cares about his face when his body looks like that. I dont think he used steroids, I'm sick of hearing that shit. Why cant an athlete just be amazing anymore? He has been tested and even gave samples of blood for further testing when science can better detect "gene doping"

Oh i have an explanation for you little brother. The olympics has a clause, you can only veiw film at the offical website, and if your talking about his 7th medal, he tagged it 1st and those are the rules. Say what you want but I think it was well deserved.
